Terms of Use

Education, not advice

The Young Adviser provides educational content for insurance advisers and the communities they serve. It is not financial, legal or investment advice, and it does not replace advice from an authorised financial services provider. You remain responsible for your own professional decisions and compliance.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account and for the accuracy of what you submit.

Referrals

Only submit referrals for clients who have agreed to be contacted about the referral. Do not include ID numbers, banking details or medical information in notes. We do not guarantee that a referral will result in a quote or policy.

Who can join

You must be 18 or older, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to buy a membership, course or ticket.

Young Founders Club membership

Membership costs R59 per month and renews automatically each month until you cancel. It includes the Build a Business in a Box course and the members' network (network board and directory). You can cancel at any time from the Account tab in the members' area, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded for part-months.

Courses and event tickets

Individual courses and network function tickets are one-off purchases at the price shown when you buy. Course access does not expire unless stated. Event tickets are for the named event; if we cancel an event we will offer a refund or a transfer to another date.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by PayFast. We do not see or store your card details. If a payment fails, your access may be paused until it is resolved.

Members' network conduct

Be honest and respectful. Do not post spam, anything unlawful or misleading, or other people's personal information. Posts are visible to other members, including the contact detail you choose to share. We may remove content or memberships that break these rules. Members deal with each other at their own risk; The Young Adviser is not a party to any deal between members and does not guarantee anyone's work or products.

Insurance services for advisers

Professional Foundation Membership for advisers is billed at R199 per month. We confirm membership and send payment details by email after you apply.
